Operating in 16 countries around the world, VINCI Highways is a leading concessions company and provider of road transport services. Working with local partners, VINCI Highways designs, finances, builds and operates almost 4,000 km of roads to the highest international safety and quality standards.

VINCI Highways is currently looking for a CFO (F/M), to accompany its growth in Latin America. The position could be based in different countries across this area.

The CFO reports to the CEO and is responsible for directing the company’s financial and administrative organization, including the treasury, borrowing, compliance with the obligations in financing contracts, reporting, and financial analysis, as well as facilities and administrative functions. He/She will work closely with VINCI management and shareholders, to develop and accomplish financial goals and strategic plans.

Main missions :

  • Supervise the accounting function of the company, review financial information and define accounting policies.
  • Supervise the adjustments to IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). Lead the relationship with the external auditing firm. Support the shareholders in accounting matters regarding the company.
  • Monitor financial contracts in order to assure compliance with the obligations that the company has to the lenders.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for the CEO, the Board of Directors and Shareholders.
  • Calculate and perform withdrawals of debt and payments of interest.
  • Lead the company in the preparation of annual budgeting and associated updates during the year and monitor expenses against this budget.
  • Supervise the cash management of the company including collection, payments, and financial investments from associated parties, enforce fraud prevention policies, and improve upon such as necessary.
  • Make use of an internal analytical accounting system to report cost information to management on a monthly basis and as needed.
  • Actively implement policies to optimize the performance of the company by incrementing revenues, reducing expenses and/or reducing risks.
  • Perform financial analyses for the CEO, shareholders and other third parties using long-term financial models to perform calculations in order to support operational decisions.
  • Manage employees within the financial and accounting functions of the company.
  • Evaluate company’s financial activities for continual improvements and a continual increase of operating efficiencies.
  • Be the main customer interface in support of the CEO for financial audits and other project related financial activities and validation.

Education & Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required ;
  • At least 10 years of experience in financial management required, in a PPP / concession environment, in the mobility sector ideally.

Professional Qualities:

  • Effectively manage tasks and strict deadlines with independence.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese ; speaking French would be appreciated.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
