Finance Director Unify South America
For our South America business, which comprises of 4 legal entities (Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Colombia) with a total revenue of ca. 25m EUR/p.a., we are seeking for an experienced finance director with strong analytical and people management skills to drive our organization’s financial operations and to improve financial performance.
Duties for the finance director will include supervising accounting staff, managing tax compliance, overseeing internal controls, setting local financial targets along the group objectives, developing a financial strategy, monitoring expenditure, monitoring cash flow and evaluating investments.
Your skills in sound financial planning coupled with your ability to direct financial assets will assist our organization in implementing effective financial strategies, managing debt, improving revenue and maintaining a healthy financial position.
The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, good strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, exceptional numerical proficiency, and strong leadership skills. The noteworthy finance director should harmonize financial operations, develop effective financial strategies, guide efforts towards financial stability, monitor all financial activities, promote revenue growth, ensure compliance with accounting regulations, and maintain good relationships with the finance peers and central Group functions.
The role will report into the Global Group Finance Organization.
Finance Director Responsibilities:
- Overseeing accounting, treasury and tax functions
- Directing financial planning and strategy aligned with Group goals
- Analyzing and reporting on financial performance
- Ensuring compliance of local and group tax and accounting policies
- Assessing and evaluating key drivers of the business with the goal of helping the company improve its performance
- Providing financial leadership, decision making and advise for all finance related decision making in South America
- Operating in close cooperation with the Global Group Finance team
- Assessing, managing, and minimizing risk
- Analyzing complex financial data
- Managing internal controls
- Leading and developing a team of finance professionals covering Accounting (General Ledger; AP; AR), Treasury incl. Collections, Financial Planning & Analysis and Tax
Finance Director Requirements:
- Extensive experience as Finance Director in multijurisdictional company
- Academic degree in accounting or finance
- Broad knowledge of accounting principles
- Passion and good understanding for complex tax topics
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to create a result driven, team-oriented environment
- Excellent managerial skills; experience managing teams in a deadline driven environment
- Excellent written and communication skills in local language as well as English
